Kathy is a native of Montgomery County and a graduate of West Montgomery High School and Montgomery Community College, where she earned her Associate's Degree in Accounting.

At Law Office of John K. Deaton, she is the office manager and holds her Paralegal Certification from the North Carolina State Board of Paralegal Certification. Kathy's main areas of concentration, on top of her duties as office manager, include Real Estate, Family Law, Estate Administration and General Civil Practice, although she also is knowledgeable about the other practice areas at the firm and contributes substantially to them as well.
